August of 2024 marks three years since the United States’ withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Taliban takeover that followed. The upheaval displaced thousands, forcing people to flee within the country and abroad. This webinar takes a closer look at life under Taliban rule and the status of Afghan refugees in other countries.
Iqbal Ahmad graduated from the American University of Afghanistan and worked as an analyst for the Ministry of the Interior under the former Afghan government. He now is completing his Masters in International Peace Studies at the Keough School of Global Affairs, University of Notre Dame.
