Urge Congress to Cut Bloated U.S. Military Budget

President Biden has proposed raising the defense budget for 2022 by $13 billion. In a year in which dire human security needs such as healthcare, education, and climate action are more apparent than ever, we can call on Congress to make necessary cuts to the military budget in order to better invest U.S. funds for a more just, sustainable world.

Take action: Urge your Members of Congress to make necessary cuts to the bloated military budget.

New data show that the United States was once again the top global military spender, making up 39% of the global total in 2020. In a year when the White House has already introduced nearly $4 trillion in spending packages for urgent needs, cutting military spending offers a clear opportunity for massive, badly needed savings.

Take action to call for cutting the bloated military budget.
