World leaders are meeting at the World Bank headquarters in Washington, DC, this week to make decisions that will affect billions of people and the planet.
Now is the time to call on the World Bank to take the lead on climate solutions around the world. As one of the most powerful global financial institutions, the World Bank has the power and money to support a just transition to renewable energy, that would lift people up from poverty, protect nature, and help us solve the climate crisis.
In one report, The Big Shift Global spotlighted ten projects directly financed by the World Bank that make up a portion of the $14.8 billion spent supporting fossil fuel projects and policies since the Paris Agreement was made.
Join us, Big Shift Global, and 350.org in petitioning the World Bank for reform
Sign the petition to call on Ajay Banga, the likely incoming World Bank president, to support urgent reforms that will truly tackle poverty and the climate crisis.
