Early this week the House is scheduled to debate amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021, a bill which determines the amount of funding allocated for military spending. Members of Congress have introduced several amendments to the NDAA that would promote just peace.

Here are two actions you can take to support these amendments to the NDAA:

  1. Click here to urge your Members to support a 10 percent cut in the bloated Pentagon budget. Members of Congress in the House and Senate have introduced amendments that would reallocate 10 percent of the Pentagon budget toward human security needs, such as healthcare, education, sustainability initiatives, etc. Read our coalition letters to the House and Senate to learn more.
  2. Click here to urge your Members to support an amendment that would prohibit Israel from using U.S. funding to formally annex portions of the West Bank. You’ll be directed to an action alert portal through Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP), a network of which our office is a member.

Thank you for taking action to support these important amendments to our national military budget.
