Tell President Obama: Temporary Protected Status for Central American refugees

The violence in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras – and the number of refugees fleeing to the United States – continues to escalate with no end in sight.
On June 9, more than 200 faith leaders sent a letter to President Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Jey Johnson calling on the U.S. government to:
- Grant “Temporary Protected Status” (TPS) to refugees in the U.S. who have fled El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras
- Immediately cease detaining and deporting children, families, and individuals from these families seeking protection here.
