Tell U.S. Senate: No New Weapons to Israel

On July 30, Senator Sanders plans to introduce legislation (called a Joint Resolutions of Disapproval) to block the Trump administration’s attempt to send $675 million in offensive weapons shipments to Israel.

In recent weeks, Israel’s bombs have killed hundreds of civilians, including 875 people who were waiting for food from the Israeli-run Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF). Israeli forces have blocked all other humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza strip.

The Netanyahu government has repeatedly failed to protect civilians in Gaza and has disengaged from meaningful efforts to end the war and secure the release of the remaining hostages. Aid groups also say their supplies are depleting at alarming rates, raising fears that deaths from malnutrition and starvation could return to Gaza after the ceasefire brought desperately needed relief.

Urge the Senate to vote YES on Senator Sanders two Joint Resolutions of Disapproval (SJ Res. 34 and SJ Res. 41) to prohibit arms sales to Israel.
