Advocate for Refugees with Refugee Council USA
From June 2 to 4, hundreds of refugees and advocates will descend on Capitol Hill for the Refugee Advocacy Days, an event organized by the Refugee Council USA. The advocates will be meeting with lawmakers to promote policies that protect and welcome people fleeing dire circumstances.
They will be asking Congress to:
- Invest in refugee programs, the asylum system, and pathways for humanitarian protection
- Pressure the Trump Administration to restore the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, which helps process and settle refugees coming to the United States
- Support critical oversight initiatives and legislation that improve and protect the lives of refugees, and
- Take a public stand for refugee, asylum, and humanitarian protections.
