August marked three years since the United States’ withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Taliban takeover that followed. The upheaval displaced thousands, forcing people to flee within the country and abroad. This webinar will take a closer look at life under Taliban rule and the status of Afghan refugees in other countries.
Iqbal Ahmad graduated from the American University of Afghanistan and worked as an analyst for the Ministry of the Interior under the former Afghan government. He is now completing his Master’s in International Peace Studies at the Keough School of Global Affairs, University of Notre Dame.
