Moral action on climate
The week of September 21-25 will be a busy one in Washington, D.C., as we welcome Pope Francis.
During that week, thousands of people will come together – in Washington, D.C. and across the country – to join with Pope Francis to underscore the moral aspect of the climate crisis, and to call the United States to heed its moral duty to act for climate justice.
All are especially invited to a rally on Thursday, September 24 at the National Mall (between 4th and 7th Streets, N.W.) where we will gather in support of Pope Francis’ call for urgent action to address the climate crisis and create a new future of economic equality, social justice, and environmental equity.
Other actions, vigils, teach-ins, entertainment and rallies will be held during the week, all calling for decisive and responsible action on this, the defining moral issue of our time.
