Resources for Earth Day 2021

Earth Day 2021 is this Thursday, April 22. As we attempt to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic with greater awareness of how “everything is interconnected,” we can join together to build a more sustainable, just future for our planet. Here are some resources to help you and your community pray, learn, and take action in honor of Earth Day.

Take action for climate justice: Urge President Biden and your Members of Congress to promote bold climate action during this week in which the United States is convening a climate summit for global leaders

Catholic Climate Covenant's “Earth Day 2021: Restore Our Common Home: The one-hour educational and prayer program for virtual or in-person participation is a great way for families, parishes, schools, and religious communities to honor Earth Day and learn about how we can work to protect and restore God’s creation. The program contains prayers, readings, discussion questions, a short video, and suggested activities.

Catholic Health Association’s Earth Day 2021 Resources: Explore the Catholic Health Association’s collection of prayers, reflections, videos, and Catholic partner resources.

Interfaith Power and Light: Pray and share these prayers for climate action from Interfaith Power and Light.

Earth Day Live 2021: Join EarthDay.org for a day of virtual events on Earth Day, April 22. You’re invited to listen to the words of climate leaders from around the world, hear reflections and inspiring stories, and learn of opportunities to take action.
