Korea Peace Advocacy Summer

The Korean War has never officially ended. More than 70 years after the armistice went into effect, millions of Korean families remain divided, tensions on the Korean Peninsula continue to threaten peace and stability, and the risk of renewed conflict remains dangerously high. Advocates across the country are coming together to call for diplomacy, dialogue, and a lasting peace agreement to formally end the Korean War.

Join the 2026 Korea Peace Advocacy Summer and urge Congress to support legislation and policies that advance peace in Korea. Participants will receive advocacy training and take part in meetings with congressional offices to share personal stories and advocate for diplomacy-centered solutions. Opportunities include virtual meetings, in-person district meetings, and Capitol Hill meetings for constituents in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.

This year’s advocacy events include:

  • Power Hour call-to-action sessions on Monday, June 22
  • Virtual congressional meetings
  • In-person district office meetings
  • Capitol Hill meetings for DMV-area constituents
  • Expanded advocacy training and organizing support

People of faith and conscience have an important role to play in building peace. A formal end to the Korean War would help reduce tensions, support humanitarian engagement, reunite separated families, and open pathways toward lasting reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula.
