Pray-In & Procession for Peace & an End to the US-Israeli War in Iran

For those in the DC area, there will be a prayerful witness tomorrow, April 17th on Capitol Hill!

What: Pray-In & Procession for Peace & an End to the US-Israeli War in Iran
Date: Friday, April 17
Time: Noon-1pm EDT
Location: Capitol East Plaza on the Capitol Side (Meet at entrance to Capitol East Plaza, First St. NE and East Capitol St. Procession will end at Methodist Building)

As people of faith who believe that God commands us not to kill and wage war, and Christians who are committed to following Jesus’ way of active nonviolence, we call for:

• Permanent Ceasefire in Iran, Lebanon and Gaza
• No US weapons sales to Israel
• Support conscientious objection for US soldiers for this immoral war
• Rejection of the proposed $1.5 trillion military budget for FY 2027
• Challenging the religious justification for a Holy War in Iran as an affront to God
