The Climate Crisis is a Moral Crisis.
The Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns released a statement expressing grave concern over the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) finalization of the repeal of the 2009 Endangerment Finding.

By repealing the Endangerment Finding, the United States demonstrates again that the climate crisis is a moral crisis. This reckless retreat from scientific reality abandons the legal foundation needed to curb the emissions fueling our climate emergency.
As people of faith, we know the “cry of the earth” and the “cry of the poor” are one. By dismantling these protections, the United States abdicates its duty to the most vulnerable. We must return to science-based policy to protect our common home.
